I work with clients of all ages. With my work with adults, I specialize in dealing with depression and anxiety. While working with youths and adolescents, I often help those who find themselves backed in a corner and don't know how to get themselves out. I work with the client and their family and enable to have the client get his/her needs met while improving their relationship with their family.
I have experience working with clients with such issues as depression, anxiety, adhd, poor social skills, anger management, Grief/loss, and clients with pervasive developmental disorders. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy in addition to play therapy to help clients meet their goals. I pride myself on enabling clients to open up while keeping the therapy sessions fun and engaging. I find that this model of practice enables the clients to feel comfortable and open up.
As a practicing Orthodox Jew, I am very aware and culturally sensitive to religious and spiritual values and customs, and specifically those of the Jewish religion. I often utilize spiritual and religious counseling as a way to strengthen a client's self-worth and to offer them additional strength.
