As a psychotherapist, I support clients to overcome challenges and psychological barriers. I have worked in the mental health field for fourteen years. My clients have included children, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with those affected by trauma, domestic violence, addictions, depression, anxiety and other mental disorders.
My specialty in Art Therapy and my training as a Qigong teacher provides the foundation for a creative and body-centered approach to healing. Chinese and Taoist philosophy have influenced and broadened the scope of my treatment as a therapist while art therapy awakens the healing potential of the creative spirit.
My own life has been a journey which has led me to become a therapist and healer. My personal experiences with the healing power of art motivated me to offer this path to others. My experiences with suffering became a spiritual journey. This journey within has brought depth and beauty into my life.
For ten years, I have studied and practiced qigong with Zhenzan Dao, founder of the MogaDao Institute. After an extensive teachers training program I am now certified to teach these practices to others. I have personally experienced the immense transformative potential of engaging the mind, body and spirit in seeking wholeness. Turning toward the body is integral to holistic health, and mental health. As a teacher and therapist I am committed to offering myself in the service of others.
